StayT Privacy Policy
StayT is a task-based app blocker for Android, made by Samridha Shrestha. This policy explains what the app handles, where it goes, and how to reach us.
On-device data
Your tasks, sessions, blocked attempts, budgets, schedules and preferences stay in on-device storage. They never leave your phone.
Accessibility Service
StayT uses Android's Accessibility Service API to decide what to block. It reads which app is in front and which windows are open; for website blocking, the address in your browser's address bar; and for Feed Shield, the on-screen labels that show which part of an app is open (for example a Reels or Explore tab). This is checked on your device the moment it appears and then discarded. It is never stored or sent anywhere, and StayT does not collect keystrokes, passwords or messages. You turn the service on yourself and can turn it off any time in Android Settings > Accessibility.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification content is sent to any server.
Pro features
StayT has no purchases. Every Pro feature is included; turning one on plays a short rewarded ad first. Nothing about which features you use leaves your device.
Ads
StayT shows ads from Google AdMob: a quiet card during sessions (a fresh one about once a minute while it is on screen), an occasional full-screen ad when a session ends, a short ad before every override or break, and a rewarded ad each time you turn on a Pro feature. To serve, measure and limit ads, AdMob may collect your advertising ID, IP address and basic device and interaction data, under Google's privacy policy. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent first and can change it in Settings > Ad privacy choices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads.
Data sharing
StayT itself sends nothing off your phone. The only third party is Google AdMob, which receives the data described above. Your tasks, sessions, blocked apps and history are never shared with anyone, ad partners included. We do not sell data.
Retention and deletion
Your data lives on your device until you clear it. Clear history in Settings removes sessions and attempts, and uninstalling StayT wipes everything. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing on our side to delete.
Children
StayT is not directed at children under 13 and is not part of Google Play's Families program. Its ads are not restricted to child-safe, non-personalized ads, and it relies on an Accessibility Service, so it does not meet the rules for children's apps. If a child has been using StayT, uninstalling it deletes all of its data.
Changes
If the app's data handling changes, this page is updated and the date above changes with it.
